RHWC professional development - FEATURED LEARNING OPPORTUNITY

Build your arthritis care knowledge with ATLAS

SBHS approached the ATLAS team at the University of Sydney (Australia) to bring structured, evidence-based arthritis education into your RHWC professional development.

ATLASArthritis Training, Learning and Up-Skilling for Health Professionals — is a self-paced eLearning programme developed by leading Australian universities and clinicians to strengthen health professionals’ knowledge and skills in evidence-based arthritis care. Its modules are particularly relevant to health and wellness coaches supporting people with osteoarthritis and other long-term musculoskeletal conditions, including behaviour change related to physical activity, weight management, self-management and healthy lifestyle practices.

As a SBHS registered health and wellness coach, you can complete ATLAS modules as recognised professional development with SBHS, and help shape whether SBHS adopts ATLAS as an ongoing part of the RHWC pathway.

Why SBHS is making ATLAS available to RHWCs

SBHS approached the ATLAS team at the University of Sydney to explore access to this learning for our Registered Health & Wellness Coaches.

We greatly appreciate the ATLAS team welcoming SBHS RHWCs to participate, despite our organisations having had no previous collaboration and ATLAS being based in Australia.

ATLAS access arrangements are expected to evolve in 2027. SBHS will continue to liaise with the ATLAS team regarding learning access for our RHWCs as these arrangements develop.

ATLAS and your SBHS CPD

Relevant ATLAS learning may be submitted towards the 14 hours of annual continuing professional development required for SBHS RHWC renewal.

Please retain your certificate or other evidence of completion and include the learning undertaken in your annual CPD submission. Download your CPD submission form here.

Thank you for helping us protect resources provided for RHWCs and maintain the goodwill of organisations that make professional development opportunities available to our coaching community.
